Formerly Rafiki, meet Killian, our next generation at Alue! Killian is from our Lion King 2 litter out of  Kovu & Harper.

Killian is a total spoiled rotten momma's boy with a bigger than life personality! He is a fiery boy with opinions and he isn't afraid to share them. He loves to wrestle with his parents, he loves to parkour off the other dogs and the furniture in the house, and he always has a twinkle in his eye that let's you know he's up to no good!

Killian is a big mover that commands attention in the ring. He's got a great free stack, he is a lovely dark blue with dark points and eyes, and he has great coat.. He is a well balanced boy and an improvement on his parents and that's always the goal!

This boy has all the potential in the world and I can't wait to see what we accomplish together!

Killian's Pedigree
Killian's Betterbred
Killian does not have any OFA tests pending
Killian is clear of all breed specific panel genetic testing, including day blindness by parentage.
He will need tested for PRA RCD4 as Harper is a carrier.
Watch this space for updates with future health testing!

Killian absolutely blew me away our first show weekends!!! He held himself together really well and after being a bit overwhelmed our first day at the AKC show (as was I!), he rocked it. The last day he leaned away from the judge, but he never tried to fight being held or examined, he never cowered, he never backed away. I was so proud of him! At Premier he was a total rockstar - held still for the exams, offered me free stacks, moved with his tail up and a smile on his face. I couldn't of asked for anything more from him. He received a lot of compliments from spectators and judges, but he didn't pull anything in Best Puppy, and while that was disappointing, I couldn't of asked for anything more from him! While I hope to hit one more show before he ages out of BPUP, we likely will be sitting out to grow hair for a few more months! This boy has such a bright future and I can't wait to see what's in store!

Killian and I attended his first and last UKC Puppy Show in Peoria where he showed up and showed out!! He received so many compliments from judges and exhibitors alike on his quality and movement, it just really sent me over the moon. I had one judge who has judged his daddy for a few years now stop me and tell me just how good his movement is and when I told her he was first bred by and who he was out of she said, "wow, well good job"! She's not really a Poodle person so to get that compliment from her when she started judging my dogs years ago really meant a lot. Now we sit out and grow hair for AKC, though we may try to hit a few local UKC shows next month in the big kid classes. We will see!!

At 6.5 months old, Killian and I ventured out to our local UKC show for his first big kid show and man did he make it one to remember!! We won 3 group placements out of 4 shows, two group 1s, and my very first Best In Show!! We competed against some of the top ranked dogs in both breed and group standings and to be rewarded amongst such stellar competition is such an incredible honor!! I feel so amazing as a breeder to have my first generation out there and taking BIG wins! Such an incredible weekend.

For our last show of 2021 we ventured out to snowy Wisconsin for our final hoorah! Killian absolutely blew me away!! I've never seen a Gun Dog group as large as I did there and to take 3 out of 4 Group 1s was absolutely incredible!!! Show 1 the judge pulled us aside after Breed judging and told us that he used to breed Standards and that Killian is a very nice puppy. He told me all the things he liked about him and stressed to me just how nice he was. Show 2 the judge actually remembered judging Killian as a Novice Puppy in Peoria! He asked me, "Have I judged this dog before?" and I told him yes as a baby puppy in Peoria and he goes, "wow, really beautiful young dog". That first day we earned 104 Group Points with those two Group 1sts!!!!! Those two Group wins also earned Killian a full Grand leg bringing him to 2. Day 2 we had a full Champion class, so both of Killian's Champion wins gave him two full legs bringing him to 4 total legs and 3 earned in one weekend!! Sunday the Gun Dog group was even larger, earning us 71 FREAKING POINTS IN ONE SHOW!!! For the weekend, we walked away with 175 Group Points, which is nearly unheard of at a regular show! The competitors were all so nice to us and wish us well in each Best In Show and even asked us if we had gotten anything the next day! We received so many compliments from fellow handlers and it was just a dream come true weekend!! Now as Killian gets closer to getting cut out into his continental, we will be taking a break from shows until February or so to grow hair and mature a bit more. Until then!!

For our first show of 2022 Killian came out with a bang!! We attended the Midwest Classic in Ohio for the first time and it was a show to remember! I have never competed with so many nice dogs in any UKC show since I started showing in 2018 and it was truly an honor to be in the ribbons nearly every day. We came in needing one more win to finish our Grand Championship, and we did it! We won the Champion class over 11 dogs on the second show of the day to secure Killian's UGRCH; it was my goal to finish on the first day and we did it! On the second day we won the Grand class and then went on to win Best of Breed over more than 20 dogs earning Killian his first Emerald Grand Champion leg!! The last day we were awarded Reserve Grand Champion both shows, but Killian made me so proud! I have never had a dog with the hunger to show like he does; he commands attention and knows how to draw all eyes to him. We received so many compliments from fellow Poodle exhibitors & from people in other breeds that made the weekend all that more special. I cannot wait to see just how far we can go together.

Killian and I attended our second AKC show on the 27th, which also happened to be our National Specialty show! I was an absolute nervous wreck!! As a Poodle breeder and fancier, PCA is something I prepare all year for. All my training, conditioning & grooming were all done to lead up to this day. It is something we all look forward to as breeders and handlers to show off our dogs and see what is out there. This was a huge show for us and all I wanted to do in my class going in was to beat one dog. Killian blew me away by winning the class!!! I absolutely lost it, the tears just flowed through me. The honor, the prestige & the excitement of winning your class at PCA is something I can never ever explain. What a feeling to have my first bred by be as accomplished as he is, let alone winning our class at our National Specialty at 15 months old. What an honor, a true true honor. Thank you to Honorable Judge Mrs. Michelle Scott for this lifetime achievement.

Killian and I went to Peoria, IL and boy oh boy he did not disappoint! He won 7 out of 8 BOBs & placed in Group every time!! He also finished his Emerald Grand Championship the second day, which means he finished it in three show weekends!  He doubled and more his Breed and Group Top Ten points during this show and I could not be more proud of him!! We are now taking break before Premier and will be taking the next two weeks off. Can't wait to see how Premier goes!! Wish us luck!!

    • 6/17/22 UKC Premier Nationals; Grand Champion Class, Best of Breed

Our first year showing at UKC's Premier Nationals couldn't of went more amazing!! Our first day started off with the URC & UPA Specialties. Killian won the Grand Class in the URC Specialty securing his first 1/3 of a Ruby Leg! Then in the UPA's first ever National Specialty (first Specialty as a National Club instead of Provisional), Killian made my wildest dreams come true. We won the Grand Class, then Best of Breed, but he didn't stop there. We then WON BEST IN SPECIALTY SHOW and followed it up with NATIONAL BEST OF BREED!!!! It truly hasn't set in yet and I think it will take awhile to really hit me. My first bred by at 16 months old winning our Specialty is just a feeling I cannot explain. Then on Friday, Killian won the Grand Class and another Best of Breed securing his spot at the current Number One Standard Poodle in UKC and making him half way to his Ruby in two shows. What an honor to breed such an amazing dog and what an honor to be at the end of his lead.

Killian finished his Ruby Grand Championship at the Perry, GA show with two Best of Breeds over approx. 15 Solids and two Group Ones over 60 dogs!! These wins pushed him to over 200 Breed Points and over 330 Group Points, earning him his first appearance on UKC's Group Top Ten at Number 8!! After falling to Number 2 a few weeks ago for the first time since earning the Number 1 spot on Breed Top Ten, Killian has regained his Number One Spot in Breed!! We are going to go as hard as we can the rest of the year, but since we have just moved from Missouri to Louisville, KY, we will see what we can do. I am so proud of this young dog and all he has accomplished, I can't wait to see what the rest of the year brings us!!
